We love zines. We love the immediacy, the intimacy and the wild possibilities they provide. Zines connect and they transmit - and we want to work with artists who love getting their work out in fast, impactful and free ways.

Break In Zine Works is designed to be an accessible route into publishing. Whether you're a first-time creator, or a seasoned zinester, Break In Zine Works is designed for those who want to get their work out there, into the hands of people who are going to love it.

We're open to collaborations on pages or issues of our titles, and also in producing your own zines in our atelier.

Our Titles

American Flora

Coming in 2026
American Flora is a series of impressions of wildlife and nature, and their properties imagined. These botanical drawings are of plants that live, but have not been seen by the author, of places that exist but not yet visited. An ecosystem that’s part of the world but, as yet, unknown.

Each edition of American Flora focuses on one State, and contains 6 botanical drawings, with accompanying impressions of their properties. We're working our way through each State, with the intention of collaborating with botanical artists from all over the world to complete the collection.

American Flora is printed on heavy, recycled 170gsm paper, with a textured 300gsm cover from recycled stock.

PS - we love botanicals, so if you have a botanical art project outside the scope of American Flora, then please get in touch anyway and fill us in.

BombZine

Coming in 2026
Jean Biró and friends put together this light, fun and off-beat zine that talks about health, wellbeing and other assorted curio that seem to get bundled into the pick n mix of life. It's kind, it's upbeat and it can be weighty too.

BombZine is a 16 page zine, printed on recycled 170gsm paper with a heavier 300gsm cover.

We accept submissions for full 16 page BombZine issues or pages, artworks and musings to put into compendium issues co-authored by yourself and Jean.

Mic Nightlife - Print Edition

Coming in 2026
Mic Nightlife Print Edition is the physical version of our ongoing photography and poetry series from Tim Foley, featured in TheNeverZine. Mic Nightlife is a photography, poetry and storytelling series celebrating the places in which people share words - Foley visits open mic nights in and around London, interviews the hosts and learns about their events and the people that attend - all brought to life by Tim's wonderful analogue BW photography.

These print editions feature additional content from their digital counterparts, and are printed on heavy recycled 170gsm paper, with a 300gsm cover

Your Zine

This is where you come in. What are you working on? What do you want to bring to us? We're open to your zine, whatever it may be about and whatever form it may take - from single editions, to ongoing series - as long as it fits in with what we're about, and it's from your mind and your hand then get in touch and let's scope it out.

What Do You Make

Typically, we're working in A5 and A6 stapled zines on a variety of stocks and weights, and between 12-28 pages. That's how we're set-up for a fast turnaround, but we're open to working to your idea and requirements. Just ask :-)

Financials

We're never going to ask you for money to submit, or produce work with us. We're the publisher and we will protect your voice, your work and cover production costs. This means we recover production costs from sales and a percentage after that goes to the press to keep the lights on. The rest is a royalty passed on to you, or to a charity that we can agree on.

Timelines

This is pretty fluid - Break In Zine Works is set up to be pretty fast, but we are a small team with a lot going on, so we cannot garunetee a timeframe. We work closely with all our artists in the atelier and collaborate at every step of the way and depending size and complexity, projects can take a few days or stretch on until the race is run. Short version - just ask :-)
