Active Dreamers

A Note From Us

At TheNeverPress we are absolutely brimming with creative ideas and bursting with vision and we are eager to get more people involved - writers, artists, creatives, specialists - to work with us, or be connected through us to enable their voices to be expressed and their artistic journey to continue.

We want to collaborate with artists who are working from a place of deep thought and artistic expression. We don't hugely care about what is 'on trend' or where it sits in a bookstore - we care about feeling and intention.

This means that, while we don't publish absolutely everything, we can publish anything.

Ultimately, we're connecting people to make astounding things that connect with people.

So, if you share our ideals of being independent yet collaborative and if you see things in a different way then get in touch and let's see if we can make art together.

TheNeverPress

The Band

Graham Thomas

Graham Thomas

Founder & Creative Director
Graham is a multi-disciplinary artist working across print, digital and audio spaces. He desires to create something that connects with audiences in the way one connects with a band they discover in their youth; to capture that deep feeling of being seen, heard, understood and taken away somewhere. This is what lead him to establish TheNeverPress. Graham is moved by expressive dreaming as much as practical and logistical action. This compulsion to trammel beautiful, abstract ideas into tangible realities, or ‘deciphering the dream’ as he calls it, is what underpins TheNeverPress, and attracts the artists that work within it. It’s Graham’s intent to build a collective of artists that create and present work that deeply touches people, and is made in an environment of care, meaning and authenticity. It seems that, over the years as TheNeverPress has grown, that dream is being collectively deciphered.

Tim Foley

Tim Foley

Poet & Co-Owner of TheNeverZine
Tim Foley is a photographer and poet who founded Write Speak Recover, documenting spoken word artists using creativity for healing. He shoots black and white film portraits, capturing poets who share personal recovery stories as well as street, documentary and travel photography. Tim’s poetry and writing centres around his lived experiences, recovery and mindfulness. Born in Scotland, raised in England, and based in the UK after 15 years in the USA, Tim merges his passions to build community through art. He is a regular on the London open mic scene and his work appears in the online digital arts publication he co-runs TheNeverZine.

Maddi Almond

Maddi Almond

Design Lead
Maddi Almond is a book and print designer whose work centres on the quiet dialogue between language and form. With a background in graphic design and an MA in Book Design, her practice explores how typography, structure and material choices shape the way stories are read, held and remembered. Drawn to the tactile and the intentional, Maddi works across editorial design, independent publishing and limited editions, balancing research-led thinking with a sensitivity to craft. Her approach is both precise and intuitive, bringing clarity to complex content while preserving the character of each voice. Through thoughtful design and collaboration, she helps shape publications that feel considered, cohesive and enduring.

Alison Hill

Alison Hill

Editorial & Production
Alison is a writer and book lover from South London. She has lived in the city for ten years, and has fully embraced the fast-paced environment, a stark contrast to the seaside village she grew up in. Words have always been enchanting to Alison, with their eloquence to make sense of something inside of you, or explain something in a way that feels like a missing puzzle piece. At TheNeverPress, Alison assists editorially and supports the production process from submission to publication. She will be looking for projects that emulate the same resonance and is drawn to explore anything that makes her soul feel alive.

Sonia Silvers AKA Soko

Sonia Silvers AKA Soko

Editorial & Production
Soko is a writer, editor and ephemerist. She works across TheNeverZine editing, subbing and laying out articles and on the Various Sorrows & Joys Imprint. Here, Soko leads on submissions and ensuring everything aligns with the Manifesto and then, shepherding the work through the editing and production phase to ensure the stories we produce are in canon, consistently astounding and rad all over.

The Writers

Ameer Azad

Ameer Azad

Ameer is a 25 year old author and poet living in London. He specialises in transgressive fiction and poetry. Ameer came to TheNeverPress through a chance meeting at a poetry event sometime back when. From there, he featured in the Write Speak Recover initiative, then onto becoming our first Poet-In-Residence at TheNeverZine. Ameer's wild and visceral work is deeply rooted in experiential fiction, and he is one of the founding architects of the Various Sorrows & Joys imprint. Ameer is currently working with TheNeverPress on his first collection of short stories.

Siobhan Cawson-Mooney

Siobhan Cawson-Mooney

Siobhan is a poet, writer, classical singer, composer, visual artist and collaborator. A member of the Bethlem Writer’s Collective, London, since 2023, she is currently working on a memoir of her grandma in 365 haiku.  For the past year she has been working on a collaborative art project entitled “Coming Out of Isolation” between Bethlem Gallery and Fountain House Gallery in New York, which features her poetic and artistic “coming-of-age-later” journey.

In her words "I am absolutely thrilled to be continuing my poetic odyssey as the next Poet-in-Reesidence on TheNeverZine and very excited to see where it takes me."

Luke Searle

Luke Searle

Luke Searle has always loved to write - from spideresque scribbles on double-sided A4 paper, to the tip-tapping of sausage fingers on a keyboard Luke creates worlds and little windows into imaginary lives that provide a great respite from reality. As well as creating strange worlds on paper, more recently Luke can be found cooking up pitches for the Racehorse Movies podcast and writing for TheNeverZine.

Eugene Bliss

Eugene Bliss

Eugene Bliss was born in the city by the lake. As a boy without much to verbally say, and with few friends, he wrote constantly. His mother and neighbours, celebrated illiterates, did not know where Eugene discovered this ability. Eugene spent his formative years in the Neon District making a name for himself as a barfly writer infused with volatile melancholia. Eugene Bliss passed away sometime in his two hundredth and sixty-seventh year, found by Ted Bane curled up and smiling in the cubicle of Jackie Dolan’s Cocktail Lounge. His last work ‘Love Is Not The End’ was completed by TheNeverPress and presented to those at his funeral.

Graham Thomas

Graham Thomas

As a wee lad, Graham wanted to be a pilot, a butler, a filmmaker and an author. The only one that stuck with him was author. He likes to ponder and plan, and though they say a plan is just a list of things that never happen, he does have a firm roadmap for where he, and TheNeverPress, are going.
Graham has a slate of 50 odd books queued up for the next decade or so, each one planned and developed and just waiting for the start date to roll around. After that, he intends to retire to the Andalusian sun and live in a Hacienda filled with animals, and let the surrounding lands do what she wants. Alongside writing, he loves cooking roasts and The Cure.
