Independent Publishing

Transporting audiences into worlds they won’t want to leave

We are independent London based publishing atelier and creative collective that creates and presents work that delights, astounds and inspires

Driven to translate ideas into reality, and operating an ‘atelier model’, we love diving in and marshalling all our resources to realise the vision and release publications in our own fashion: novels, poetry, short stories, zines, online serialisations, podcasts - anything we can dream up, we’ll make happen.

We are a collective of artists, writers, specialists and creatives who are building an inclusive, curious and authentic cross-media label.

What We Do

A Publishing Atelier

A Publishing Atelier

We put our hearts into our recipes, and the stories we tell are created with deep, authentic meaning and intent. This ethos is carried through in every step of production. We collaborate with artists, typesetters, printmakers and designers to bring our dreams to life, and we celebrate every human hand in production by championing their craft and honouring the rich history of print work in the UK.

Our atelier model means that we work across genres, form-factors and mediums. We don't chase the next bestseller, we don't latch ourselves to trends. We care about artists who are creating from a place of meaning and intent. This means that they artists that work with us are free to bring us ideas and dreams to be developed and realised together.

Novels

Novels

Long Form Fiction

Our books are produced in-house as much as possible. Working with our network of typesetters, graphic designers and editors we’re creating a line of original novels that stand apart, but also carry the unique and unmistakable voice of ‘TheNeverPress’ as a creative collective.

Dispatches from TheNeverPress

Dispatches from TheNeverPress

TheNeverZine, our free digital publication brings you regular articles on creatives, artists and initiatives alongside original short stories and poetry.

We seek out and celebrate artists or all disciplines and spotlight their journey and provide insight and inspiration. By doing so, we are lowering barriers to entry so that everyone may feel inspired to pick up that pen, set up that easel or take the lens cap of their camera.

TheNeverZine is our engine for connecting artists to audiences and each other, and for bringing new ways of thinking, creating and being to all.

The Podcast

Welcome to the Mind Cinema

Our creative expression extends beyond print and digital work and into audio spaces, as exemplified in our podcast.

Graham Thomas, founder of TheNeverPress, fellow writer Luke Searle and Producer Andy head to the Mind-Cinema armed with the Racing Post and a vast knowledge of (chiefly mainstream 90s) movies. Selecting a real-life racehorse, they pitch a fictional movie inspired by its name.

Racehorse Movies is our weird, sometimes dumb, oftentimes silly and irreverent show that celebrates creative storytelling, the magic of movies and the joyous benefits of kicking back with an old friend and riffing on films that, probably, star Russell Crowe.
