Montana’s most feared outlaw has left his secret lover, Maria, alone in their secluded house deep in the wilds. If he had known that she was pregnant at the time, the Devil might have stayed.

That was almost nine months ago and Maria is still awaiting her lover’s return and the arrival of her child. But while Maria waits for the Devil, a vengeful band of gunslingers are tracking him. Led by the relentless Rickman Chill, the gang have ventured deep into the dark wilds of Montana and they will stop at nothing to bring the Devil to justice.

Vengeance is a dangerous game, but as the Devil said to Maria before he left her: “There is nothing more dangerous than lovers.”

A Note From the Author

Maria & The Devil’ was inspired by the Western’s I watched with my old man all those years ago. Despite the stories following the heroic cowboys who rode out to seek adventure, I was always curious about those who stayed behind. What happened to those people who were left in the homestead, facing the long, harsh seasons alone, waiting? What hardships befell them on those slow, grinding days of solitude and what resilience was required to simply survive in those times? The months in between. The time alone. The solitary existence in a lonely and dangerous world. Those questions were the basis of ‘Maria & The Devil’.
